In brief: A new LinkedIn analysis published on September 24, 2026, drawing on Factors.ai data, suggests that B2B research starts long before an opportunity appears in a CRM. For companies in Azerbaijan, the practical lesson is to build familiarity across the buying group before prospects are ready to complete a form or speak to sales.
What does the research say?
LinkedIn says the analysis draws on data from more than 850 B2B companies, over 50,000 closed deals and more than USD 5 billion in deal value. According to the source, buyers begin researching around 124 days before an opportunity is created in the CRM.
The analysis associates reaching six or more contacts before deal creation with a 17-percentage-point lift in win rate. Reaching another three or more contacts during the active sales cycle is associated with a further 16-point lift. The strongest mix—end users, influencers and technical evaluators—is linked to a 22-point increase.
LinkedIn also reports that companies combining LinkedIn Ads with organic activity achieve 2.4 times higher win rates than companies using paid activity alone. Because these benchmarks come from LinkedIn and Factors.ai, a LinkedIn marketing partner, they should be treated as hypotheses to test against a company's own market and data rather than universal forecasts.
What does this mean for B2B companies in Azerbaijan?
In corporate services, construction, logistics, finance, education, IT and media buying, one person rarely makes the entire decision. Executives focus on outcomes, finance teams on return, technical evaluators on compatibility and risk, and end users on usability. Targeting only owners and directors can leave important members of the buying group untouched.
Measurement also needs to extend beyond the final lead form. Company-level visits, content engagement, repeat exposure, meetings and proposals should be connected where privacy and available systems allow. In a smaller market, audience strategy should balance reach and relevance instead of narrowing every campaign to a tiny seniority segment.
Five practical actions
Map the buying committee: identify the budget owner, influencer, technical evaluator and end user for every priority service.
Create role-specific content: lead with business impact for executives, ROI for finance, implementation detail for technical teams and daily value for users.
Connect paid and organic: coordinate Company Page activity, executive insight, case studies, video and retargeting in one sequence.
Measure pre-CRM signals: relate company-level visits, content engagement and repeat exposure to meetings, proposals and revenue.
Run a local pilot: test one sector and a limited account list for 8–12 weeks, measuring meetings, proposals and wins—not only lead volume.
Marketing Partner's view
A strong B2B campaign should do more than capture an existing lead. It should make the brand a familiar, credible option before a sales conversation begins. Audience strategy, expert content, social proof, media frequency and sales feedback therefore need to operate as one system.
Marketing Partner can connect organic content and paid distribution through Social Media Marketing, then align the full customer journey through its digital marketing service.
